The first picture does not do the storm justice. this is the view facing the south end. Pic 2 is a screenshot of the webcam as we tried to secure the broken gas dock, walking safely on the dock was very challenging. It was not safe for people to be out there but there was a problem on the dock beyond it being broken. A boat that had been launched hours earlier was patiently waiting on the right side of that dock for further mechanical attention, it was not powering up as it should. Thankfully it wasn't crushed when the gas dock broke and its lack of power was no match for the winds so it couldn't be moved elsewhere. We lost power for about 3 hours, we understand it may not yet be restored to all cottages. Pic 3...the calm after the storm. That's today. Carpenters are on the job dealing with the dock and our shop is in a good position to get on track with summerizing boats.
