Today, January 14, 2022, the ice was measured in the area at the end of the barge dock’s summer placement. The thickness is now at 8”. We would never say the ice is safe. Be aware that the thickness is not consistent, it could be much less in other areas of the lake.
It is COLD here with the temp at -16 (mid-day) and nights as low as -29 this past week. We DO have snow, not a significant volume but more than in Toronto or even Peterborough.
