Tempest Boats
In 1972, Tempest founder, Ray Stoss set out to build Tempest Boats.
Ray had an idea in mind ... that he would make it possible for boat buyers to own the boat of their dreams at a price that would make those dreams a reality. It was Ray's thought that there should be no reason that you have to be rich to enjoy the best, just smart. Smart enough to recognize quality when you see it. That's what it takes. Tempest understands your needs, your wants and your dreams in a boat.
Tempest is versatile, it's a good boat to tour the lake, catch fish or tow the kids around in a tube. Tempest is not just versatile but it is also reliable.
It is 2020 and on our lake there are many Tempests but two might be described as 'vintage' from the 70s and are still in active use today.
Compare the lifespan of the vintage Tempest with the barely five year old boat of another brand that was just 'diagnosed' with osmosis. Osmosis is essentially like having blisters on the bottom of the boat caused because water has gotten between the gel-coat and the fiberglass, and over time, these blisters fall off leaving the fiberglass exposed which only causes the issue to speed up. Osmosis is the death of a boat and unfortunately osmosis is prominent in several popular boat brands.
So, when we see a boat that is over 30 years old, and fading from over 30 years in the sun is it's only flaw - we know we have a good brand.
Tempest---Enjoy the boat, appreciate that you are buying a Canadian product, know that it will be around for many years also appreciate the price!
