The ice is finally gone! As of this afternoon. Now the crunch is on to prep for the season. We have 2.5 weeks to try to meet everyone's preferred launch date so we are hoping for minimal rain/weather interferences. That said, the next three days have rain in the forecast. This year we are looking at a more average volume of water in the lake, no need for rubber boots to get across the ramps.
A word of caution for the first to boat across, we had a tin boat float over upside down from the south end and a few days ago, we saw a fairly large rogue dock become entangled in a few icebergs in the middle of the lake. Move across the lake cautiously - there are foreign objects floating out there.
